Bluetooth Connection: Acquiring Data from Devices
One of the methods our mobile app employs to retrieve health data is through direct Bluetooth device connection. By establishing a wireless connection with compatible devices, our app enables real-time data transfer and interaction. Here's an overview of how this process works:
- Device Connection Prompt:
- If a metric supports direct device connection, the app will display an option to connect the supported device while entering readings for metric. Patients will be prompted to establish a Bluetooth connection with the compatible device.
2. Establishing Device Connection:
- Patients follow the on-screen instructions to pair and establish a connection between the app and the selected device. This ensures seamless communication and data transfer between the two.
3. Data Retrieval:
- Once the device is connected, the app prompts the user to get either the last measured reading or record live reading. It collects the relevant readings or measurements based on the selected metric.
4. Displaying and Syncing Readings:
- The retrieved data is then displayed within the app for the patient to review.
After reviewing the readings, patients have the option to sync the data within the app. This ensures that the captured readings are securely stored and made available for further analysis.

The synced readings can be seen in activity history for the metrics.
